Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Sundust Creative Studio's website and services.

Bookings & quotes

Projects are confirmed once we've agreed on the brief and any quote. At launch we work on a quote-only basis, so the details and price of your shoot are confirmed with you before work begins.

Payments

Quotes and invoices are issued in South African Rand (ZAR). Online card payments are not yet enabled; when they are, payments will be processed securely by a third-party payment gateway and Sundust Creative Studio will not store your card details.

Cancellations & rescheduling

Please provide reasonable notice to cancel or reschedule a shoot. Specific cancellation and refund terms are communicated at the time of booking.

Gift vouchers & coupons

Vouchers and coupons are subject to their stated balance, validity, and usage limits, and are not exchangeable for cash.

Creative work & usage

Photography, videography and content are provided in good faith for the agreed use. Ownership, licensing and usage rights for delivered work are set out in your project agreement.

Using your photographs (image release)

When you book, there's an optional tick-box asking whether we may show your photographs in our own work. It is genuinely optional — leave it unticked and your shoot goes ahead exactly the same. You can also change your mind later; just email us.

If you do tick it, here is precisely what you're agreeing to.

  • Where we may show them. Our portfolio, website, social media, printed samples and advertising for Sundust Creative Studio.
  • Normal editing. Photographs may be cropped, colour-graded, retouched or placed alongside other images. We won't use them in a way that's misleading or that holds you up to ridicule.
  • No fee, and no sign-off on each use. We don't pay for portfolio use, and we won't send every post for approval — that's what makes the permission workable.
  • What we will never do. Sell your images to a stock library or licence them to an unrelated business, without asking you first and separately.

If you'd rather we used nothing at all publicly, that is completely fine and is the default.

Your personal information (POPIA)

We process your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”). We collect what we need to run your booking — your name, contact details, the shoot details and payment records — and we use it to arrange and deliver the work, to invoice you, and to keep the records the law requires.

Your photographs are personal information too, which is why permission to publish them is asked for separately and never assumed. We don't sell your information. You can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us at the address on our contact page.
