Your photos go into a folder in your own account. Sundust never holds the originals, and we can only see the album we created. Nothing else in your Drive is visible to us.

We built this so the files never belong to us.
Most photo-sharing services keep your memories on their servers, behind their subscription. Gather doesn’t. Guest uploads go directly into a folder in your own Google Drive. You own them, you can download the lot, and if you close your Sundust album tomorrow the photographs are still sitting exactly where they were.
We ask Google for the narrowest permission there is: access to the files this app created, and nothing else. The rest of your Drive stays invisible to us.

About that one photo
Somebody will upload something you’d rather not have on the wall. A blurry thumb, a bad angle, a joke that doesn’t land. On Curate you can hide it in two taps, and hiding really does mean hidden: the file moves into a Hidden folder in your Drive and stops being viewable by anyone.
You choose how it works. Leave photos appearing instantly and hide the odd one, which keeps the gallery alive during the party, or hold everything back and approve them yourself before a single guest sees anything.
